Do you love her enough to let go of her? - Ming & Joey (Esp. 5)

The typhoon signal No.8 was effected today, so Joey has an extra holiday at home.

Joey got up watching the news and messages from the HK Observatory, despite having slept for only two hours, she couldn’t fall asleep again as she was used to be when the typhoon came.

She starred at the television screen without even watching or listening to what’s playing…

It was hard to see a smile on her face since the day she came across Ming…

Was it because of the secret she buried?

Actually Joey had made up her mind after the first kiss with Ming. (Yes, it was the kisses all over!)

Have you ever been kissed like: “ I want you to faint and you’re just simply unconscious”?!

It was the kiss made her decided never going back.
But…Does Ming belongs with her? That’s the question!

“We have been trying to talk more and spent less time in bed, but there is nothing changed, something was wrong…the gate was not opened up, damn it!”

Obviously it is painful for both of them, life is just killing them…

“Maybe we should just let it be what it should be? Like the “playmates”?”

Joey couldn’t believe the idea was out from her head, but at least she is being honest to herself.

Unfortunately, Ming doesn’t want a sex partner or a short relationship at all, he never was a player, ever.

“Do…Do…” Her cell phone rang when she is thinking about those silly things…

“How do you do, J?” It was Edwin, AGAIN!

“J” - Edwin called Joey a nickname that Ming haven’t even heard about…and Joey smiled purely, she was happy with Edwin always calls her in time.

They have endless topics to talk about: politics, relationships, art and music, they argue on something at first and the arguments end up laughing to the conclusions they made together…

That was something never happens between she and Ming…

“Hey, silly, how about I come over and you buy me a lunch?” Edwin laughed with a spoiling tongue.
(LUNCH…Yes that was lunch time, there phone conversation extended from the AM to lunch time!)

“And you buy me the coffee!” Joey hit back.

YES.

When Edwin said he might be fighting with Ming if he agreed picking up that phone to Joey asking her out, he wasn’t joking.

However, even if Ming did the call on his own, Edwin contacted Joey personally, and kept avoiding Ming any ways…

“That’s fair, we both deserved a chance!” Edwin tried to make his own statement. Actually he did try to let go, but he was into this, too…

Joey and Edwin went out for lunch in APM and had some cakes and coffee in the Starbucks after then.

They bought several books in the bookstore of APM, read and talk about everything, until 8pm…

“Hungry?” Edwin asked.

“No, I’d like to go home, Ming could be calling soon, thank you for today…” Joey said, there actually was some sadness in her eyes every time when she brought up Ming.

“OK, go home and get some rest.” Edwin cannot bear to looking at her.

"Who started this shit? He or me?" Edwin continues to sit in the cafe alone.

(To be continued…)
